As Education Director, MKM helps guide Arizona Theatre Matters’ educational initiatives, bringing together theatre scholarship, practical artistry, and decades of experience supporting adults with disabilities.
She brings deep theatrical knowledge, human-services experience, creativity, and generous spirit to Arizona Theatre Matters’ educational programming.
Theatre Practice
MKM directed Jeanmarie Simpson’s solo piece, Heretic – The Mary Dyer Story, which launched at the Boulder Friends Meeting in Colorado and subsequently toured for ten years.
MKM continues to work with adults with disabilities, which is where she and Jeanmarie first connected.
Scholarship & Artistic Life
MKM has a lifetime of theatre credits, scholarship, and study. She holds a BA in Drama and Dramatics/Theatre Arts from Eureka College, and an MA and PhD ABD in Theatre Studies from Bowling Green State University.
In addition to being a gifted theatre artist, MKM is a prolific and celebrated visual artist.
