The Art of Accessible Sound toolkit for teachers and students

This video and digital toolkit were made possible with support from Salt River Project (SRP), a community-based utility serving Arizona. We thank SRP for supporting accessible arts education.

Welcome to The Art of Accessible Sound

This digital engagement toolkit was created by Arizona Theatre Matters
to accompany The Art of Accessible Sound, a playful educational video about how
sound helps tell stories—and how accessibility helps everyone join in.

You can use this toolkit in a classroom, at a library, or at home.
It’s designed for Grade 2 learners and inclusive classrooms, including
Special Education settings.

There is no right way to explore. You can listen, watch, move, point,
draw, or take breaks. Accessibility is part of the experience.

About Arizona Theatre Matters

Arizona Theatre Matters creates theatre where access is part of the art.
We believe stories should be experienced through sound, movement, and language—
and that everyone deserves to take part.
